The four things we look for, in order.
ZeengoCorp's primary output is product in production. Not Notion documents. Not slide decks. Not roadmap reviews. The hiring criteria reflect that.
We are not Google. We are not even an accelerator-graduate at scale. We are an operating holding company shipping product on capital-efficient budgets. The work is real and intense and not the right fit for every career stage. Some people who could earn more elsewhere choose us because the equity grant in a portfolio company they actually help build is the largest financial outcome available to them.
We hire slowly. The average from first email to signed offer is six to eight weeks. We do not run a five-round panel — usually first reply, founder call, paired technical session, reference checks, offer. If we are not going to make an offer, we tell you within two weeks.
Craft over pedigree
We look at what you have shipped, not where you studied. Most teammates have built and shipped at least one product end-to-end before joining. Show us the receipts.
Ownership is non-negotiable
You own your area outright. We do not run a matrix org with three layers of sign-off. The trade-off is that you cannot blame the system when something doesn't ship.
Portfolio rotation is a feature
Senior engineers in particular rotate across two or three portfolio companies over a multi-year tenure. The cross-portfolio leverage we use commercially exists for team members too.
Honest about what we are

Market cash. Materially better equity.
We do not publish exact salary bands publicly because they shift per role, level, and portfolio company stage. But the framework is the same for every full-time hire — and the equity side is what makes the math interesting.
Market cash for senior roles
We pay competitively against early-stage VC-backed startups in India tech. Cash is not where we try to be different — equity is.
Equity in the portfolio company
Every full-time hire receives a meaningful equity grant in the portfolio company they primarily work in (Dial Master, NoteVault, or future ventures) — not just options in the holding co. Standard 4-year vesting with a 1-year cliff.
Equity is materially above VC-backed peers
Because we are not raising priced rounds on a fund-cycle dilution timeline, employee equity is materially less diluted than at comparable VC-backed startups. The percentages we grant are higher than market for the same role level.
Remote-first, Gurugram-optional
Remote-first across India for most roles. Working space available in Gurugram, Haryana for team members who want office presence. Some roles are Delhi NCR-preferred — flagged in role descriptions.
Learning budget + book budget
Per-team-member annual learning budget for courses, conferences, and books. No approval workflow — you spend it on what makes you better at your craft. Common usage: AWS/GCP certifications, design conferences, technical book budget.
Internal mobility across the portfolio
If you join Dial Master and after eighteen months want to work on NoteVault, we make that easy. Vesting transfers cleanly. The cross-portfolio leverage is a real feature, not a slogan.
